LG has introduced into the Nigerian mobile market its eagerly anticipated G3 smartphone, the successor to the company’s well-received LG G2. The LG G3 is said to be developed under the “Simple is the New Smart” concept.
The LG G3 launched with plenty of wow. Looking to strip the design glory from the HTC One M8, and hit more spec sheet highs than the Samsung Galaxy S5, the LG G3 is one of LG’s biggest phones to date, both literally and figuratively.
LG G3 features 5.5-inch Quad HD display, screen ratio of 76.4 per cent. 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, a removable 3,000mAh battery and wireless charging support while the metal in the battery cathode is replaced with graphite thus extending the battery’s lifespan.
The camera in “selfie mode” has gesture controls which allow the device would recognise a clenched fist gesture in order to start a three-second countdown before taking a photo.
Steve Seungeui Lee, general manager of the Mobile Communication division at LG Electronics West Africa, said: “This is the best innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market.”
