Speculation over, the secret is officially out. The HTC One (M8) for Windows is now officially official.
The hardware of the HTC One (M8) for Windows is completely identical to the Android powered HTC One (M8) and goes so far as having identical dimensions including thickness and even weight. In fact the only change that you’ll notice from the original HTC One is that the HTC One (M8) for Windows runs, well, Windows (Phone that is). Hahahaha 🙂
The focus, however, shifts from just the overall performance of the devices to the awesome battery performance of the HTC One M8 Windows.
The HTC One (M8) for Windows almost doubles the battery life that you can squeeze out of the HTC One (M8) for android. The HTC One (M8) windows clocks in about 21 hours usage time compared to the average 12 hours you can get from the HTC One (M8) Android.
The HTC One (M8) for Windows has a standby time of about 15.5 hours compared to the 12.2 days you get with the Android variant. The above revelation just went ahead to confirm that the battery life of a Smartphone isn’t exclusively dependent on the battery capacity, but also on the nature of the Operating System.
HTC One (M8) for Windows runs on the same hardware as its Android predecessor, that means a quad core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable by up to 128GB using a microSD card. The same beautiful full HD Super LCD3 display is also there nestled in the best smartphone body in the business with the all aluminium frame construction available in only the one colour – gun-metal grey – instead of the three.
The HTC One (M8) for Windows is currently for Verizon in the US, which is incompatible with any networks in Ghana, Nigeria, South africa or Kenya but hopefully it will be made available for us here in Africa soon…..
