iPad users can now start using Facebook Messenger after a version for the Apple tablets was released late yesterday.
Facebook Messenger for iPad comes with most of the features you’ll find on the iPhone version, such as stickers, group chats, voice message recording and the ability to make free calls to friends.
You won’t, however, be able to use the Snapchat-esque split-screen “selfie mode”, as well as the super-fast tap-and-hold video recording feature… yet.
This app will surely be nice for Messenger users who are tired of having to juggle their iPhone while working or playing on their iPad. If you have both Facebook and Messenger installed on your iPad, tapping the Messages button in Facebook automatically fast-switches you to Messenger. You can then tap the bar at the top of Messenger to return to Facebook.
Facebook also hasn’t mentioned when Messenger would make it’s way over to Android-operated tablets.
