Around january last year, Vodafone Ghana caused a storm of criticism after bumping customers from unlimited fixed-line broadband contracts on to a new limited bundles and also increasing customer bills up to 250%.
As of 2012, you can get unlimited broadband service with just GHC65 but as at 2014, there is nothing of such again, all vodafone fixed broadband bundle is now limited.
According to Vodafone’s latest in-store brochure, they are 6 bundles available to suit every lifestyle from low to high-end internet users;
- 10GB now cost GHC50 per month (Browser Basic)
- 20GB now cost GHC70 per month (Browser)
- 40GB now cost GHC100 per month (Streamer)
- 80GB now cost GHC150 per month (Webmaster)
- 200GB now cost GHC200 per month (Downloader)
- 500GB now cost GHC350 per month (Office)
But kindly note that the Browser Basic package is promotional and only for new customers outside the greater accra.
My Dear Reader
At this Junction (J) Time (T), i will be resting my fingers and passover the keyboard to you.
This change in fixed broad bundles and tarrif is said to be part of effort to make internet services available to more people. Did you think the new price and bundles introduced by vodafone is fair enough putting the quality of service and the current state of the nation into consideration?
