Vodafone Ghana says damage to its cables within the central business district of Accra has disrupted services to about 7,000 customers.
According to Vodafone, the damage occurred as a result of a private contractor’s thrust boring work for the country’s E-government project.
The company said customers within the area have been informed through its Vodafone Business Solution (VBS), adding that it has deployed technical team to the area and is working around the clock to restore the affected services by 31 of January, 2014.
The company apologised for the inconvenience, and promises that it is doing all it can to prevent further damage to cables.
