It has been 3 short months since DreamOval Foundation conclude their iTeach2013 program at Ashesi University. This year annual program (iTeach2013) is organised by the DreamOval Foundation in order to give back to the community by training rural teachers in ICT.
We stepped up the iTeach program this year by training a full 100 teachers for an entire week. In partnership with the MTN Foundation we decided to provide a lasting award for the Best Teacher by constructing a PC and Internet equipped ICT Center in that teacher’s school.
The winning teacher was adjudged to be Ms. Belinda Ayesu, a primary teacher at the Boso Anglican Primary School. Boso is a small, farming community in the Eastern Region.
The promised reward was finally realized on Monday the 9th of December in the form of an ICT Center equipped with 10 computers and a year-long supply of free internet service. The ICT Center was officially opened by Nana Osei Nyarko 3rd, Paramount Chief of Boso-Gua Traditional Area and the Vice-President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, after a short ceremony which brought the entire town together in celebration.
