Minister of Communications Dr Edward Omani Boamah, has paid a working visit to the Tema ICT Park Project where work is being undertaken by the Micro, Medium and Small Enterprise of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The $400m ICT Park project is a Public Private Partnership initiative created to boost the technology base in Ghana.
The Minister said government has demonstrated its commitment by initiating the construction of the project with a $10m facility being a sub component of the project.
Dr Boamah said the effort is also to attract the private sector to take the unique opportunity to develop the ICT sector for both local and the foreign markets.
He said the project started in May last year and is expected to be completed this year. Mr Courage Dogbegah, Chief Executive Officer of Berock Ventures Limited, the construction firm undertaking the project assured the Minister the facility would be completed this year.
He said when completed, the building would accommodate multilateral corporations and enhance the activities of companies to promote their businesses.
