The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Ephraim Avea Nsoh, has stressed the need to exploit the Regional Coordinating Council’s (RCC’s) website to derive the greatest opportunities to improve the administration of the region and enhance the lot of the people to bridge the development gap in the region.
Dr. Nsoh, who launched the website: www.rcc.org, hoped it would enhance the innumerable investment, cultural and touristic opportunities the region was endowed with.
The Minister further disclosed that with the launching of the RCC website, the next step was to construct websites for all the district assemblies in the region.
Dr. Nsoh appealed to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) to allow the RCC and the district assemblies to construct and maintain their own websites, which is more efficient and cost effective.
He also appealed to the private sector, hospitality and service sectors to make use of it, by advertising their products, facilities and services, not only to attract clients, but potential partners, to further develop their businesses.
The Regional Minister gave the assurance that the RCC would offer free advertising space to the private sector for their services and products.
Dr. Nsoh cautioned all district assemblies that his administration would no longer accept their poor responses to directives from the RCC, MLGRD and the Presidency, as several requests to the assemblies to submit information had not been previously met.
He stated that the region could not continue to use the old methods of physically interacting in the offices and homes.
